Created on a budget, recognized for inovation. Grimlock appeared in many news paper articles and magazines. The Grimlock Neurotic Facade CD was published in a book released in 1994 titled How to make and sell your own music: a recording guide to the 90’s. In this book Grimlock’s CD Design was featured on the opposite page that had pictures of CDs by Black Sabbath, Rush, and Led Zepplin.

Grimlock.us Grimlock is a Heavy Metal Band from Cincinnati, Ohio. The Original "Grimlock". Formed in early 1987 in the basement of guitarist Tony Oppelt with drummer Brian Tonne. The name Grimlock came from a Dungeons and Dragons monster book titled: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual by Gary Gygax. from March of 1980. Original band members include: Tony Oppelt: Guitars Brian Tonne : Drums Ed Hoffman : Bass guitar Donovan Smith : Guitars Ted Brasier : Vocals Neurotic Facade was Grimlock’s 1st attempt to put out a professional product. It was recorded at AudioCraft sound studios in Cincinnati, Ohio with Jeff Higgins as the main engineer. It was mastered at Sonic Sculptures in Fairfield, Ohio. 1000 CDs were made by DiscMakers and pressed in Canada as well as 500 cassette tapes. ***Pictured above Left to right, Back: Tony Oppelt, Ritchie Rudisel, Brian Tonne, Donovan Smith, Front : Ted Basier.
History of Grimlock Grimlock is a Heavy Metal Band from Cincinnati, Ohio. The Original "Grimlock". Formed in early 1987 in the basement of guitarist Tony Oppelt with drummer Brian Tonne. Bassist Ed Hoffman was next to join the band, then Donovan Smith, lastly Ted Basier. Grimlock released a demo recorded at MasterMix Studios in Delhi, Ohio with the songs: Misinterpreted Youth, Euthanasia, Crimson Rain, and Pleasured to Death, The Preachers of the Darkside, Fate of Hate. Next came Neurotic Facade recorded at AudioCraft sound studio in Cincinnati, Ohio with Sound Engineer Jeff Higgins. After Neurotic Facade, Grimlock released a 3 song demo Grim Tales recorded at Ted Brasier’s house in Logan, Indiana using AudioCraft Sound studio’s mobile recording studio. The name Grimlock came from a Dungeons and Dragons monster book titled: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual by Gary Gygax. from March of 1980.
